The YUUYUUSYA handicraft studio stands on the site of the Arakogama, a kiln that saw its heyday in the 15th century. They use unprocessed local soil, which they prize for the beauty of its natural constituents. The patterns created using real leaves and grass express the creative power of nature.
Under the heat of firing, the copious glaze applied to the pieces flows downward, and the resulting striking appearance gives them their charm.
The rough “flavour” of the clay, the leaf patterns and the flow of the glaze are what makes the MINO-YAKI that they create so beautiful to look at.

The production theme is the breath of the forest.
I would like to send you the light,
the wind, fragrance and invisibie one in the nature
with my work and I would
like to make crafts like favorite songs
to pump up your mood a little bit in your daily life.

A beautiful piece of work may be
satisfactory but a beautiful work of
art shares a story. The love and
passion of the "gallery" creates a
story. Which enables the creation
of the truly beautiful artwork.
